Freedom: But the greatest of these is Love

This is an extension of the previous post.

As I said before, we are called to love unconditionally.
We are free. We are free to love all, as God loves us. If we are not free, then the only thing we are bound by is the world and sin. But we have been saved, therefor, we are free from the world and from our transgressions. We are not held down by anything as a slave is held down by his master. Rather, we are held *together* by love, and love knows no boundaries.

Love knows no boundaries.

Love does not stop at any one place. Love is not in one place more than another. Love is free, and love is forever.

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

Who are we to claim we know about love? Love is never ending. It does not stop at one person. We cannot hold love down, nor can we shove it in a jar and say "HEY LOOK I HAVE LOVE!". Who are we to say "Because you sin, you cannot know the full extent of love."? We should not cast one another aside.

Who are we to claim we know who God is and what He stands for? He is a just God, a jealous God, and an ALL loving God.

Listen to what God says now, even if he said something before. (And after all, if you don't, you could end up killing your son on top of a mountain)

But the greatest of these is Love

We are called to act in love, like the Father. We are called to be like Him, and God is Love, so shouldn't we too love?

Who are we to say where love starts and where love stops? We are each loved individually so much more than every imagined. God is never ending, God is infinite. Therefor, logically, love is never ending, and love is infinite. Who are we to say that love is in one area more than the other? That God loves the good church going christian more than a satanic devotee? We are ALL sinners, we are ALL born into sin, but because of Jesus, we don't have to fear that anymore. All sin is forgiven. Take pride in Jesus and what he has done. Take pride in the fact that ANYTHING is possible through Jesus. Take pride in the fact that we are free, and we are loved, and we are all spotless and pure. We can do nothing to get away from this over flowing love. It's truly indescribable. The incredible love that God has for us is really enough to make you drop to your knees and weep.

Think on that.

Restart

So, I've restarted this blog. It's not going to be full of crap. I've matured and grown, so you won't have to put up with my tiny child emo-ness any longer. In short, this blog is about God and what He says, or what I think he's saying. I'm only human. I won't be 100% accurate 100% of the time, and I don't expect to be. I will post what I hear, not what I believe I know.

With that, all I can say is "Come Holy Spirit."

And here we go.
